General:

I have located a lot of McWhorters' in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Grimes C o, TX but cannot find any of this family.

Andrew was born in S.Carolina. He was a small lad when his parents mov ed from York Co. S.C. to Tenn. from there to Arkansas. Andrew marri ed in Hot spring Co. Ark. and two children were born there. He later moved to Grimes Co. Texas. He was on t he census 1860 in Madison Co.. His first wife had died and he had remarri ed a lady Louise (Louisa) Barrow. She also had several children. One of t he was Henry Barrow. The fatherof that the infamous bank robber Clyde Bar row was a Henry Barrow. I have not been able to prove that Clyde was rela ted to Henry Barrow. There is no trace of Andrew after the census of 1860.
