General:

Corrine Binns, 88, of Crossett died Monday, February 11, 2002, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born July 29, 1913, in Fountain Hill to Robert and Maggie Geddie Hester, she worked as a clerk in the Sterling's Store for over 21 years. A member of the Beech Street Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by a daughter, LaNell Binns Kilcrease Johnston; a grandson, Phil Binns; and her husband, Leon Milton Binns.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Binns and wife Sandra of Crossett; a brother, Norman Hester of Crossett; one sister, Inez Norrell of El Dorado; three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 14, in the Beech Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Binns and Jason Goodwin officiating. Pallbearers were Dale and Bill Hester, Tom Norrell, and Tim Norrell, Millard Phillips and Billy Phillips. Burial followed services at Pinewood Memorial Park, with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
