Fay Augusta Dean Griswould, 99, of Crossett died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Crossett, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Danny Griswould of Crossett; a daughter, Marjorie Reese of Baton Rouge, LA; grandsons Gregory Griswould of Crossett and Edward Tonore of Madison, MS; granddaughters Karen Oiler and Terri Hammack, both of Baton Rouge; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Johnnie Workman Griswould, in 1989; a brother and five sisters.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 26, in the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Kirkland and Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Burial followed at Pinewood Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Vought, John Vought and Philip Stanley. Funeral arrangements were by Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
