MONTICELLO, Ark. - Annis Marie Eackles, 89, of Monticello and formerly of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Born March 2, 1919, in Fountain Hill, Ark., she was the daughter of Jack Cason and Luna Brown Cason.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J. Donald Eackles.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Harpers Ferry Methodist Church.
She was a former member of the Harpers Ferry Women's Club.
She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Lambert and Leone Hendrickson, both of Monticello; one brother, Velton W. Cason of Fountain Hill; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert E. Cason and Jack B. Cason.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Douglas Fraim will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
