Noel Herschel Whorton, 65, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home. He was born July 7, 1950 to LD and Mary Helen Martin Whorton in Paris.

Noel was in the Army National Guard for 30 plus years and was an active member of The Church at Rock Creek.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Holly McClendon.

Noel is survived by his wife, Phyllis D. Whorton; son, Kevin McClendon (Patricia) of Cabot; three grandchildren: Cassidy Roland, Lauren and Kim McClendon; two great-grandchildren: Cameron and Kennedy Roland; one great-grandbaby on the way; sister, Judy King of Vilonia; and brother, Donnie Whorton of Dardanelle.
