Dovie Frances (White) Finley, age 91, of Poyen, passed away Oct. 12, 2006 at Arbor Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Malvern. She was born in the Glen Rose community to the late William Curry and Lona (Eldridge) White on Oct. 14, 1914. She married Louie Finley in June, 1944, who preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker and a member of Poyen Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Glen Finley of Arkadelphia and Melvin Finley and wife, Linda, of Benton; two step-sons, L.D. Finley and wife, Ruth, and Horace Finley and wife, Nancy, all of Malvern; one step-daughter-in-law, Sue Finley of Benton; brother, Clemmie White and wife, Estelle, of Benton; sister-in-law, Louise White of Malvern; 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and soon to be, three great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Eldridge Finley; a brother, Norris White; and a granddaughter, Kayce Finley.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 13, 6 to 8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 14, at 10 a.m. at the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church, with Brothers Robert Speer and Steve Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.
