General:

Frances Hester Hayden, 92, of Sheridan died on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Born in Trafalgar to Clara Bates Alldread and James S. Sparks on March 25, 1921, she married Roland Hester in 1939, and they spent most of their life in Fountain Hill and Hamburg. They operated Hester's Restaurant on the square in Hamburg.

Survivors include three daughters, Monah Oliver Hankins of Idabel, OK., Brenda Ferguson of Hot Springs and and Mary Dorsey (Ervin) of Sagle, ID; two sons, Bill Hester (Charlotte), of Monroe, LA, and Dale Hester (Cathy) of Crossett; 10 grandchildren, Greg and Brad Oliver (Kim) of Idabel, Kayla Battistelli (Rick) of Lafayette, CO, Brett Hester (Brandy) and Kristen Derr (Jacque), of Olla, LA; April Deer (William) of Drummond, TN; Kendrah Ferguson of Fort Smith, Kasey Ferguson of Hot Springs, Suni Crawford (Beau) of Coeur d' Alene, ID, and Sky Dorsey of Pocatello, ID; two step-grandchildren, Heather Schneller of Fayetteville and Jackie Schneller of Colombia, MO; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands Roland Hester in 1964 and Henry Hayden in 1995; five sisters, Estene King, Mary Lou Chambers, Veda Mae Jordan, Eloise Baker and Margie Morgan; and two brothers, Dewey Sparks and Guy Alldread, Jr.

Grave-side services will be held by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Flat Creek Cemetery near Fountain Hill.
