General:

Son Tom remembers "Dad used to tell me about how he and Uncle Roland always enjoyed finishing their work on Saturdays and going fishing. This was before either of them were married. They must have been about 16 or 17 because Dad was 19 when he and Mother were married. Anyway one Saturday evening as they started back and turned a corner,they got the wagon hung on the corner of the bridge and turned it over into the creek. They were stuck and it started raining. About 10 p.m. Papa Hester came looking for them and helped them get the wagon (and horse) out of the creek. Dad always said Papa was so happy that they were ok that the only thing he said was 'you two boys need to learn to be more careful'."
