Notes
General:
Per Jim Beard: "From at least 1829 to 1832, Isaac was with Capt Payne's Company fighting the Creeks. This was a company from Lincoln Co, TN. In 1830 and 1832, I found where Jane received pay in Lincoln County for Isaac's service. I believe that she was living with Henry and Polly in 1830, and the census just has her age wrong. Both Isaac and Henry moved there 1825-1826 with their wives. The service tells us why there was a gap in having kids for Isaac and Jane." "I can find no records on Henry or Isaac in Lincoln County after 1832 and there is no probate for Henry." Per Jim Beard:"The length of Isaac's service also explains how he was able to make so many land claims in AR."
Performed marriage of Martin Guest, his father in law, and Jane McDaniel.
The "Marks and Brands Book" used to register livestock markings includes: Isaac Miller, 2-21-1843.
