General:

Angela L. Thessing, 84, of Conway, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009. She was born July 16, 1925, in Conway, to the late John E. and Eleanor (Strack) Lachowsky.

Angela was a wonderful mother and "granny" and will be greatly missed by all.

Angela was retired from Conway Regional Medical Center, where she worked for 22 years as a ward secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Raymond H. Thessing; three brothers, the Rev. Clement Lachowsky CSSp, Al Lachowsky and Dennis Lachowsky.

Survivors include three sons, Ray W. Thessing and wife Robbie of Perryville, John Dennis Thessing of Little Rock and Russell Thessing of Conway; three daughters, Laura Pruitt and husband Paul of Conway, Paula J. Thessing of Conway and Julie Joyner and husband Terry of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren, Kyle Thessing (Adair) of Perryville, Sarah Buntin (Chris) of Fayetteville, Wes Pruitt (Laura) Conway, Ashley Macon (Adrian) Conway, Jeffrey and Courtney Thessing of Little Rock, Tara and Chelsea Joyner of Fort Smith, Travis and Landon Thessing of Bigelow and Kelly and Wes Kuhn of Perryville; eight great-grandchildren, Mason, Brody and Sawyer Thessing, Austin Buntin, Kyal, Hayes and Van Pruitt and Kadein Macon; three brothers, John Ed Lachowsky and wife Mildred, Norbert Lachowsky and wife Mary, all of Altus, and Louis Lachowsky and wife Bobbye of Texarkana, Texas; three sisters, Sr. Mary J. Lachowsky of Chatawa, Miss., Rose Mary Zimmerman and husband Frank of Mabelvale and Clarita Lepine and husband Roger of Pautucket, R.I.

Rosary will be 6 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Spangenberg and Father Charlie Thessing officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum, with Mrs. Thessings grandsons, Kyle Thessing, Wes Pruitt, Jeffrey Thessing, Travis Thessing, Landon Thessing and Wes Kuhn serving as pallbearers.

The family has a special thanks to all her wonderful caregivers at Odyssey Health Care, especially LaTreece and Martha, Debbie and Doris.
