In 1908, 10 years after John's death, Mary Ellen married Calvin Pucket, w idower of Sarah Dolby Puckett (John's sister).

Obituary: March 22, 1911 Obituary Mary E. Puckett, daughter of Dempsey and Elizabeth Reed, was born in Rando lph County, Indiana, October 24, 1839, and died at her home in Unionport M arch 12, 1911, aged 72 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was married to John Dolby in 1862 and to this union were born five so ns and six daughters of which four sons and five daughters have preceded h er to the great beyond. She spent most of her life near and in Indianapoli s. She was left a widow in 1898. She was converted and united with the M.E. church at Acton, in early lif e. After the death of her husband she made her home with her daughter Mr s. Ella Golden, of Indianapolis, until her marriage with Calvin J. Pucke tt July 21, 1908, after which time she came to live at his home in Unionpo rt, this union being short but happily spent. Many good things might be said of Aunt Mary but best of all was her implic it faith and trust in Jesus-always trusting everything to him. She leaves to mourn her husband, two children, three step-children, nine g randchildren and three great-grandchildren, relatives and host of friends. The funeral was held at the home in Unionport and the remains were tak en to Acton for burial. Rev. Ruby Oren conducted the funeral, Tuesday, Mar ch 14.
