General:

Earl O. Hass, 83, of Benton died Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
He was born May 8, 1925, in Story.
Mr. Hass was a Master Machinist and worked for AMF Cycle and Hilbilt. He was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mattie Hass; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Charles Hass and wife Dianne of Hot Springs; three daughters, Diana Stockton of Benton, Lee Carman and husband Roy of Benton and Gail White and husband Michael of Hensley; a brother, Irvin Hass of Benton; a sister, Alma Mabry of Malvern; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home with a 3:30 p.m. graveside service at Reed Cemetery in Story. The Rev. Carl Wright will officiate.
Pallbearers are Timothy White, Adam White, Matthew Hass, Bill Harding, Gerald Paxton, Joe Stockton and Gerald Southard.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
